I have a BA in Music from North Dakota State University and have been teaching beginner to intermediate level violin, piano, and voice lessons to students of all ages since 1999.
I believe music lessons should be fun while making steady progress.
Everyone learns in a different way, so I teach each student in the way they will learn the best. Some students excel with mainly verbal instructions while others prefer to watch and listen to me play or sing the phrase before they try it.
Students like different styles of music too, so after the basics are mastered, I include styles they're interested in. After all, music lessons should be fun!
